I love a good chai latte. Especially in the homely setting of a cosy coffee shop. Having lived in LA for three months, here is my round-up of the best coffee shops in Studio City, LA.
Aroma Coffee & Tea
This is my absolute favourite coffee shop in Studio City! With plenty of outside seating and a superb selection of cakes and hot drinks, Aroma Coffee & Tea is a must-visit. It also serves a comprehensive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu so you could really come any time of day.
Don’t be put off by the large queue, it is definitely worth it!
Located next to my favourite yoga studio, Good Vibez Wellness Center you can take a yoga class and then have a leisurely lunch. Perfect day!
The food and drink here are exceptional. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. There are even heaters and umbrellas outside so on the occasion that it does rain in LA you can still sit outside.
Cannot recommend this place enough!
Priscilla’s Gourmet Coffee House
Priscilla's Gourmet Coffee House has more of a cosy bookstore feel with plenty of seats inside and out. The drinks are really tasty and they have some interesting alternatives on just plain lattes.
I especially enjoyed the Pralines and Cream Mocha!
As well as free wifi, this coffee shop also has a bookshelf full of books that you can borrow.
The perfect excuse to spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon.
Gelato Bar & Espresso Caffé
Gelato Bar & Espresso Caffé is situated very close to Aroma Coffee & Tea in the lovely neighbourhood of Tujunga Avenue.
It has a nice, local feel with great coffee and cake selection, as well as gelato of course!
Again it offers free wifi so a great place to work while sipping on a latte. There are a few tables outside so on a warm day, it is a great place to soak up the rays.
The staff are really friendly and accommodating if you have any food requirements. They also serve a range of vegan muffins.
Nesmon Café & Boutique
Okay, so technically Nesmon Café & Boutique is in Sherman Oaks. But it is very close to Studio City. You can walk there, I did!
This french-style boutique cafe is really lovely and makes you feel like you have gone to Paris for the day.
Serving good coffee and a selection of cakes including flourless chocolate cake which is divine! All served on quaint chinaware.
There are quite a few tables both inside and out. The seating outside is lined with pretty flowers and plants.
This is a great place to catch up with friends. Or work on your business with their free wifi.
Peet’s Coffee & Tea
I’m not usually a fan of chain coffee shops but Peet’s Coffee & Tea in Studio City is a lovely place with good coffee and friendly staff.
They have a great selection of pastries and cakes, as well as a range of hot drink options. The prices are very reasonable so an affordable option.
I particularly like this place as there is plenty of room both inside and outside!
They also have free wifi so a really great place to work.
Bluestone Lane
Bluestone Lane is a bit pricey but the coffee is really good! They serve healthy brunch-style food as well as cakes. It has a lovely boutique feel and friendly staff.
This coffee shop is a bit small but there is seating inside and out.
Perfect for a coffee break after shopping the boutiques in Studio City.
