Tastiest Brunch Spots in Ubud, Bali

Brunch is one of my favourite meals of the day. So I was excited to discover lots of amazing brunch spots in Ubud, Bali. With plenty of great coffee shops and cafes, Ubud has some of the best places for great brunch!

Here are my all-time tastiest brunch spots in Ubud:

1. Garden by Elixir

This is one of my top spots for brunch in Ubud. Or breakfast! Located close to Monkey Forest, Garden by Elixir is filled with hanging plants and healthy vegetarian options on the menu. This is a great place to catch up with friends or get on with some work.

With a colourful range of breakfast options, brunch, and delicious drinks, this place is a must-visit!

It has a homely feel with lots of natural light and is full of greenery. The ambience is chilled out and the staff are really lovely. There is plenty of seating so you can even hang out all afternoon and indulge in lots of healthy food.

Garden by Elixir also serves vegan pizzas, pasta and burgers, perfect options for dinner!

2. Suka Espresso

Another one of my favourite brunch spots in Ubud. Suka Espresso does great breakfast and brunches as well as amazing dinner options. As the name suggests, their coffee is really great too.

Check out the buddha bowls or tacos in the evening, they are really yummy! Their breakfast pancakes are also really great.

Another amazing chilled-out place with plenty of seating both inside and outside. Sit upstairs for pretty views over Ubud.

Look out for their offers, they usually do some discounts if you eat there more than once which is very easy to do!

3. Puri Garden Hotel & Hostel - Ivy Cafe

Another amazing brunch spot in Ubud. Puri Garden Hotel & Hostel is centrally located and close to The Yoga Barn. So you can do a morning of yoga classes and then relax here for some great healthy food.

Primarily a hotel and hostel, however, their cafe is really lovely and you can visit without staying in one of their rooms.

Beautifully presented, their food is healthy and tasty with lots of vegetarian options. I especially loved their smoothie bowls. They have a creamy almost sorbet texture and are topped with fresh fruit and coconut.

Their cafe is very chilled with lots of seating, all undercover in case of heavy rain! It is also open and airy so feels like you are eating al fresco. They have some comfy bench-style seating so a great place to hang out with new friends.

I often found my friends hanging out here even though they stayed in a different hostel!

4. Watercress Cafe

Watercress Cafe, situated near the Monkey Forest is exceptional for brunch. Serving amazing coffee and hearty brunch-style food, this is definitely one of the best brunch spots in Ubud.

When I was visiting in 2019 they were having some refurbishment so it was a bit noisy. But apart from the noise, the seating is comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Go there for lots of brunch options and good coffee.

5. Garden Kafe

Garden Kafe is part of The Yoga Barn but you do not need to take any classes to be able to go to this cafe and it is so worth it!

With ample options for vegetarians and vegans, this is one of the best healthy brunch spots in Ubud.

They also have a huge range of delicious drinks and desserts. As well as options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I think I have been there for every type of meal! Even my friend who has a strict plant-based diet of raw food always found lots to choose from.

The atmosphere is very relaxed, so a great place to hang out and work, or meet new friends.

There are a lot of solo travellers within The Yoga Barn so if you are travelling solo or fancy making new friends, just hang out here for an afternoon!

It can get quite busy, due to how good the food is. So brunch is a great time to visit when it is quieter. The evenings, in particular, can get busy.

6. The Seeds of Life

My friend actually introduced me to The Seeds of Life cafe. She was on a strict plant-based diet of raw food and she raved about this place.

It’s a bit further away from central Ubud (Monkey Forest) but we were able to walk there from The Yoga Barn.

You know how good this place is from the number of yoga teachers I saw there!

Specialising in raw food, which I was dubious about at first. I like warm food. But actually, you can order warm raw food, look out for it on the menu, or ask the staff if you are unsure.

This place is really great and is all about healthy living and eating. Every dish is raw plant-based food but some dishes are served warm. They also have an extensive tonic drinks menu, each with its unique health benefit.

With lots of sweet and savoury options, this is another of my favourite brunch spots in Ubud.

The Seeds of Life is a really lovely space, airy and cosy with lots of beanbags and cushions. You mainly sit on the floor, although the tables are raised up on a podium. Just bear this in mind if you don’t enjoy sitting for long periods on the floor. There is also some seating outside in the beautiful garden.

Definitely worth a visit, if not just for the health benefits!
